Love it or we will make it right

You see your finished book in a full preview before you pay, every page exactly as it prints, so there are no surprises. If something is still wrong when your book arrives, a printing defect, damage in transit, or a page that did not come out the way the preview showed, email info@chefcravings.com with a photo and we will make it right, usually with a free reprint and reshipment. We answer every email personally.

Shipping

We ship to the United States only. Every ChefCravings cookbook is printed on demand. Printing takes 2 to 4 business days, followed by tracked shipping in 3 to 6 business days, so your book arrives in 7 to 10 business days. US shipping costs $4.99 and is free on orders over $60, which means the hardcover and the hardcover bundle ship free.

E-books are not shipped. Your personalized PDF is emailed to you as soon as it is rendered, usually within minutes of your order.

Cancelling a printed book

Every book is personalized and made to order, so there is a short window to cancel before it goes into production. Email us at info@chefcravings.com as soon as possible and we will send a cancellation request to our print partner. Cancellation is only possible while the order has not entered production, which is typically within roughly the first hour after ordering. In practice this is the window our print partner (Gelato) enforces: if the file has already been sent to press, the cancellation is refused and we cannot refund the order.

If we cancel in time you receive a full refund, including shipping. If production has already started, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded, because the book exists only for you and cannot be resold.

Cancelling an e-book

E-books are personalized digital goods delivered instantly. Once the PDF has been generated and emailed, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded. If your file never arrived or will not open, contact us and we will fix it.

Why there is no 14-day return window

Personalized, made-to-order products are exempt from the standard 14-day right of withdrawal for distance sales, because they are produced to your specifications and cannot be restocked or resold (EU Directive 2011/83/EU, article 16(c) and 16(m) for digital content). This applies to both the printed books and the e-book. The cancellation window described above is what we can offer instead, and we apply it honestly.

Damaged on arrival

Separate from any cancellation right, we back every book with a goodwill guarantee. If your book arrives damaged or with a printing defect, email a photo to info@chefcravings.com within 14 days of delivery. We will reprint and reship a new copy free of charge.

Wrong address

Please double-check the shipping address at checkout. We cannot take responsibility for orders lost due to an incorrect address.
